The Wiser Barn was located in southern Wabaunsee County. Written on the windmill was the name of Dion Geraldine, an engineer who
later was the General Superintendent for the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893.

J.P Wiser of Prescott, Ontario, Canada owned the Wiser Ranch, which he was forced to sell when Kansas enacted legislation that prohibited ownership of land by non-residents of the State:
